BREANNA’S PERSONAL BIO:
Breanna’s nature to help and support others fueled her pursuit in becoming a California Certified Neuromuscular Massage Therapist and to focus on educating clients about the soreness and pain they are experiencing. A Sonoma County native, Breanna’s competitive disposition lead her to the path of kinesiology, functional movements, and the human body. Graduating from Analy High School in 2008, then continuing to Santa Rosa Junior College to receive her Associate’s Degree; it was at an orientation in 2011 that Breanna began her massage career at National Holistic Institute. At the NHI – Petaluma Campus, she completed the 900-hour Core Program to train in Swedish, Zen Shiatsu, and various other spa/sports massage modalities. She chose to further enrich her education at the NHI – Emeryville Campus in the 450-hour Advanced Neuromuscular Program. There students are taught to be able to assess and distinguish between myofascial pain or dysfunction, contrary to having an injury, and how to apply the modality most effective to address the issues. Breanna graduated in May of 2013 with a certificate in Neuromuscular Massage Therapy, totaling her educational time at over 1350 hours. While at NHI, Breanna’s externship was incredibly rewarding because it was completed within Sonoma State University’s Sports Medicine, which only fed her drive to gain more knowledge about the working human body and the effect massage had on collegiate athletes. Through Breanna’s 15-year athletic career, she has seen and experienced how injuries and stress from daily life can leave you sitting on the sidelines. Her refreshing therapeutic massage is a great tool to prevent injuries by prolonging muscle flexibility, maintaining the immune system at an optimal state of balance, and increasing the speed of recovery by sustaining healthy tissues. Improvements to immune health and a noticeable increase in an overall sense of well-being are just a few results from massage therapy. For multiple seasons, the SSU Sports Medicine Department has shown their appreciation and recognition of massage therapy with the athletes by asking Breanna to help the Seawolves as a Staff Volunteer.
I LOVE Breanna, she took care of me when I was pregnant. She found places I didn’t even know needed some relaxation when I was 7 months preggo, It was wonderful. And I just recently went again, and she did not disappoint. Again she was extremely good at helping me relax and loosen up. I definitely recommend her!
